Nothing But Advice provides immediate mental health advice to users who want support and guidance at precisely the time such advice is needed. Users have identified a specific issue that needs to be addressed. Advisors help the user look at the problem in a different way and look at solutions they may not have considered.

How does Nothing But Advice work ?

First download our free app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Then users register. Next, they purchase a talk plan. Users then request to communicate to an advisor who is a qualified mental health professional for immediate mental health advice. Users have identified a specific issue that they want to address. All communication is in real time via audio, video, or text chat. The users choose the communication approach that works best for them. They also choose either a 20 or 40-minute chat. A list of available advisors is shown which allows users to see the advisors profiles, including preferred method of communication and areas of expertise. Users select the advisor and the advisor will recieve a service request notification.  Once the advisor accepts the service request the conversation can begin.

Users can choose to talk through audio, video or text technology. Users choose what type of communication works best for them.

Who are the advisors on Nothing But Advice ?

All advisors have at least a master’s degree from accredited institutions. They are qualified, educated, trained and experienced mental health professionals. Most are Registered and/or Licensed with the state. All have worked in diverse mental health fields and bring numerous backgrounds in mental health, social work, rehabilitation, school guidance, substance abuse, marriage and family and more. They are trained to deal with varying issues. All advisors credentials have been verified. 

How do I get an advisor on Nothing But Advice ?

When you request a service you will be able to see which advisors are available and you can choose who you would like to communicate with.

How is my privacy protected on Nothing But Advice ?

Advisors choose a unique password and screen name. All communication is anonymous, secure and encrypted. Our technology is safe with privacy in mind.

How much does it cost to use Nothing But Advice ?

Pricing is $40.00 for a 20-minute chat and $80.00 for a 40-minute chat. There are no monthly subscriptions. There are no commitments, use our services when you need.  Choose talk plans that fit your budget. Users can add on talk time whenever they want and can also share talk minutes to friends and family who are registered users. 

Is Nothing But Advice psychotherapy ?

No. Advisors are not diagnosing conditions nor will they be creating ongoing therapeutic relationships. Users are requesting guidance relating to a specific issue they have identified.

What issues can I address with Nothing But Advice & advisors ?

You will be asked at the onset of your request to choose a topic area where your distress lies.  Issues may be in the area of anxiety, depression, stress, divorce, parenting, school, work, LGBTQ, self-image or others.

Who should not use Nothing But Advice ?

If you are in a life-threatening situation DO NOT USE THIS SITE. If you are planning to hurt yourself or someone else DO NOT USE THIS SITE. If you or someone else is in immediate danger DO NOT USE THIS SITE. We are not equipped to handle these situations so please CALL 911.

How do I become an advisor on Nothing But Advice?

You must have a master’s degree in a mental health related field. You must have a smartphone. If you do, download our free app from Apple App Store or Google Play store. You can follow the registration process and upload all required documents. Our administration verifies your documents and if accepted you can work as an Independent Contractor on the site after signing required paperwork and completing orientation.

Why should an advisor work for & Nothing But Advice ?

Advisors are Independent Contractors. There is no travel. No office. No caseload. You can choose to work when and from wherever you want.

What do I do if I feel the user is a danger to him/herself or to others ?

In the event you feel the user is a danger to him/herself or to others you will immediately tell the user that you are concerned for his/her safety or the safety of others. Instruct the user to hang up immediately and call 911 ASAP. Also, tell the user that you will be contacting the administration at Nothing But Advice to inform us of your concerns. Hang up and go to your dashboard. On the dashboard you will need to select “request admin”. When on the admin page, fill in all necessary information for the required fields in as much detail as possible. Please be specific in your description giving us identifiable information as to what caused you to be alarmed.

What does an advisor get paid on Nothing But Advice?

An advisor gets to keep 70% of the amount collected from the user's use of the platform. Pricing is $40 for a 20 minute chat and $80 for a 40 minute chat.
